Boho Wall Hanger Knitting Pattern

 

Level: Advanced Beginner

Materials:
- 1 Skein 100% cotton Yarn, Size 4
- US size 8 (5mm) Knitting Needles
- a wooden stick (real stick, dowel, etc)
- scissors
- Yarn needle

Directions:
Cast on 10 or more stitches (must be an even number) 
Row 1-4: Knit
Row 5: Drop Stitch (knit first stitch, wrap yarn around right needle twice. Repeat Knit 1 stitch then wrap yarn around twice until the end of the row.) 
Row 6: Knit 1 stitch, remove the extra yarn you wrapped around the needle in row 5 (2 threads). Repeat until the end of the row. 
Row 7-9: knit all 
Row 10: Knit 1, Yarn Over (bring your yarn to the front of your work between your two knitting needles), Knit 2 together. Repeat until the last stitch, Knit 1
Row 11-14: Knit all
Repeat Row 5-14 until you reach your desired length
DO NOT CAST OFF

Grab your stick. Transfer all the stitches from the knitting needle to the stick. Make all the stitches extra large by pulling the working yarn through. Put all the stitches onto the stick, then shrink all the stitches back down to normal size. Cut a long tail for hanging. Create a slip knot at the end of the tail you just cut. Loop that on the stick. Tie a knot to secure and cut off any extra yarn. 

Add Fringe and enjoy your new creation.
