Break yarn, leave a long tail. Using a yarn needle, weave the yarn through the remaining stitches on the needle, then slip all stitches off the needle. Pull tight to close the hole and knot to secure. Using that tail, sew both sides together. Stop leaving room to add stuffing. Turn inside out. Then stuff the body with polyfill. Then continue to sew to the end, closing the seam. Knot to secure, then weave yarn into the carrot body to hide. Take the cast-on tail and weave it into the carrot to hide.
Adding the Leaves:
Using the yarn needle, one at a time, weave and knot each strand of green into the top of the carrot. Refer to the image for extra help.
Step 1: Insert the needle into the top next to the closed hole
Step 2: Pull the yarn through half way
Step 3: Tie a knot to secure
Step: 4: Continue adding strands of green until you use all 15 strands or you are satisfied with the fullness of the leaves

Face
Use the gray yarn to sew on a face. Make sure the carrot's seam is at the back. Refer to images for extra help
EYES
Step 1: With gray yarn and yarn needle, insert the yarn needle into one of the knit stitches. Step 2: Pull through halfway and tie a knot to create the eye. Hide tails inside the carrot (2 images)
Step 3: Do the same few stitches to the left to create the second eye

Smile
Step 1: Insert the needle through the back of the carrot. Pull the yarn to the front under the right eye. (image 1 and 2 for placement)
Step 2: Insert the needle through 2 stitches to the left and downward from the entrance point of the yarn. Pull the yarn through
Step 3: Insert the needle parallel to the enter point and pull all the way through to the back of the carrot. Pull through to create a smile. Cut yarn and hide it inside.
Here is a image of the same pattern using size US 13 neeldes and super bulky yarn. It will make a larger carrot. Suggestions: If you still want a smaller size carrot end the pattern at row 18 then K2tog and finish. See picture below of smaller chunky carrot
